At the 2023 Star Shine Festival we offer 8 workshops with 5 amazing teachers: Jasirah, Dariya Mitskevich, Natalie Nazario, Valentina Antonova and Jelena Sheremet!
Workshops are held Friday, Saturday & Sunday 16-18 June 2023.

Jasirah - Advanced Drum Solo Choreography
Jasirah is going to teach one of her signature drum solo choreographies, full of isolations and tricky coordination. In this class you will learn how to approach harder combinations, how to train your body and mind to achieve the goal. She is also going to share her tips and tricks to enchant the audience and leave them speechless after your show.
Level: this is advanced level choreography, basic level of bellydance knowledge is required.

Natalie Nazario - Sha'abi
Egyptian Sha'abi is playful and flirtatious, with a strong folkloric influence. The term sha'abi, in Arabic, literally means "of the people''. In this spirit, we will explore the Cairo daily life of the working-class people, common Egyptian gestures and how to interpret Sha'abi Chic with your own personal flair. Earthier movement will be the key, incorporating hip work technique, stylistic drills, and lyric translation, all to playful Sha'abi songs. In this workshop, the Cairo vibes will come to you. We will share useful techniques to improve your hip work, stamina and joy.

Natalie Nazario - Modern Raks Sharki Choreography
Natalie will take you on a visual journey through love in its many forms. Through her signature movements, she will bring to life the words of Mohammed Abdel Wahab with his well-known song, Min Gheer Leih. As a beating heart, your dance will move and express this classical love song. Learn tools to develop your expression, we will be exploring your feelings through movements. We will share useful techniques to improve your hip work, stamina, and joy.

Jasirah - Vintage Bellydance
Learn flirty, enchanting and glamorous choreography inspired with Golden Era Bellydancers. In this class Jasirah is going to explain how to use your charm and allurement to perform gentle, feminine and enticing vintage bellydance choreography in a retro vibe. Bring a veil.
